Yesterday I headed over to Hoboken, Jersey after stopping off at OTB first to place my bets on a couple of horses at the Derby. This was my first year in 11 years that I won't make it to Louisville, KY for a strong Mint Julep and a gander at some of the finest horses this world has to offer...So this country girl went on a search for a good bar with bourbon stocked and a TV watch to the race with some of my new city friends. We ended up at a couple of spots starting off on the rooftop at the Cafe Bistro and then at the bar to see the race at Madison's which had a delish Mint Julep with a twist....they muddled strawberries in with the drink.

On a side note, On the bus to Jersey I noticed 2 girls with a small initial neckless on and then when I got off and started to explore the town I saw 3 more girls with the same neckless. Must be the trend of Jersey. It's so light, classic and simplistic, can't believe I find it in there...don't let Jerseylicious fool you, some girls do have style in NJ.
